Applications (Chapter 3) and algorithms (Chapter 4), as well as
project-specific information, will be covered throughout the
course, concurrent with other material.
Two thirds of the grade (200 pts) is based on three or four
projects (the exact number of projects remains to be determined)
and one third (100 pts) on one or more exams and/or problem sets.
In certain cases, students may propose their own projects, if a
detailed description and design sketch is first submitted. All
work must be done by the end of the semester; no incompletes will
be given except as required by university policy.
